Vince’s history began in an onion processing plant. As the manager, he found himself coming up with new ideas about making the process more efficient. When the customer the company purchased raw materials from required a plant, Vince knew how to build it. And build it he did.
After the successful engineering, design, and build of the plant, more and more companies began seeking out Vince. This led to the development of H&H Equipment Inc. in 1981. H&H Equipment’s in-house mechanical and electrical engineering team, machine shop, and fabrication department gave the company the flexibility and capability to handle a wide range of projects from conception to installation.
H&H Equipment would move forward to design and build equipment in industries such as agriculture, wood, mining and aggregate, food processing, steel, plastic pipe, tunnel boring, material handling, and packaging equipment.
In 2000, the market was becoming saturated. H&H Equipment had a choice: either step aside or cut quality to match the prices of other heavy hitters in the industry. Vince and the H&H Equipment team refused to cut quality. Instead, they pursued other markets.
Soon, Vince felt the pull to reach a wider range of customers that simply required problem-solving. In 2004, H&H Equipment closed its manufacturing functions of the company to focus solely on engineering and consulting. Over the next 14 years, Vince helped other companies across the globe solve their complex engineering problems.
In 2015, Vince and his son, Matt, re-entered full-time manufacturing by working with Wilbur Ellis Co. to build a new hay press. It was through this work that Vince, his son, Wilbur Ellis Co., and Golden Valley Farms developed an industry-leading hay processing plant that is set to change the way hay is processed for years to come.
"Your ideas are unbelievable and they work."
Vince is no stranger to hearing these statements. He is known to be the one with a solution to every manufacturing problem. And his history in this industry proves it.
Vince is self-taught and credits his ability to listen as a key factor in his success. He is an experienced innovator who prefers to think instead of speak. Vince said it best, “I like to be the one listening, not the one talking. I like to be the one with the questions.”
Each day, Vince uses his unique capabilities to move Titan Industries forward. As our President, he spends his days heading product development, sales, business management, and marketing. However, it’s not uncommon to see him hanging around the equipment, getting his hands dirty.
